Today we got up very early to head back to the Charlotte area.  Vanessa was getting up at 5:30 to go lift weights so we asked her to get us up so we could say goodbye to her.  We slowly packed and loaded the car and we left around 7:15.  It is always so hard to say goodbye to everyone!!!

It was a very nice drive until we got close to Charlotte and between the road work and traffic, it slowed us down considerably.  We padded the estimated time for the trip and thought we would arrive around 5:00.  Nope.  At 5:00 we just hit the Charlotte traffic.  We finally arrived at our destination at 7:30!  

Luckily our friends, Chip and Sarah, didn't care what time we arrived so we pulled into their driveway bearing wine and cheese for a fun evening with them.  We thought we would just visit with them a little bit and head to bed because we were very tired from driving.  Instead we stayed up sharing the wine and talking until about 2:00 a.m.!  Someone needs to tell us we aren't as young as we used to be!

We had such a blast with them that it was definitely worth staying up too late!
