As usual, it was hard saying goodbye to Johnny this morning.  It helped a little bit knowing we will be back in the Fall.

David had been talking about a town called Franklin, TN as a possible walkable town we might like to live in so we headed here.  It was only about a 3 and 1/2 hour drive.  Franklin is very close to Nashville and it is a beautiful place!  It was the site of a few Civil War battles so there is a lot of history here.  It has a historic downtown that is filled with restaurants, shops, bars, an old theater, Starbucks, hair salons, antique stores, etc.  We both really like it here, however, there don't seem to be any condos here (that we like anyway).

We walked up and down all the streets of the central area and looked at all of the restored Victorian buildings.  What we would really love is a condo in one of those Victorian buildings but none of them have been developed into condos.  We still enjoyed it and we met some very nice people.

I had reservations at an Airbnb close to downtown and after walking all over Franklin we were happy to check in here.  It's a very nice space and we are enjoying watching TV and having a glass of wine.

Tomorrow I think we will go to Nashville before heading West.
